# Ability to prevent duplicate records from being created

When a new record is being added, we would like for it to be required that the primary field is a unique value to our the base.

This is possible with a Noloco field on a Noloco table.

Unfortunately, if you’re using Airtable (which I believe you are) it’s not something Airtable enforce, and such it’s not something Noloco can support with Airtable
