We started using the recently added Action “Add Comment or Note” to track who did what to a certain record.
We did this by adding this Action to our existing Action Buttons. For example a Button that changes the Status of a Ticket to “done” will haave a second action that writes a note “Set status to done”. This way we have a nice overview right in the Comment field.

However we ran into a Problem when we tried to do this for Buttons that use a Modal.
Unfortunately it is not possible to preset the Comment body if the Action button is set to modal.

It would be great if you could still add a predefined Comment to a Record, even if the Button is set to modal. It works for all other fields too by choosing “hidden value”

Thanks for the suggestion, at the moment you can still achieve this by running an on-demand workflow that adds the comment as you suggested
