# Airtable phone field coming in as text field

i’ve noticed that all my phone number fields from airtable came into noloco as text fields and so they format as xxxxxxxxx instead of xxx-xxx-xxxx. is there a way to fix this? I’m not seeing a way to change the field type in my database once it’s been created/synced.

Good question @thecasemaster we don’t currently support syncing Airtable phone number fields as our own phone number field, but we definitely could.

I’ll raise this with the team

if i convert the noloco text fields to phone number fields, everything should still function the same without any hiccups or having to reconfigure right?

If the phone number format in the text field is `(xxx) xxx-xxxx`, `xxx-xxx-xxxx` or `xxxxxxxxxx`, you shouldn’t have any problems. If anything, you can always switch the field back to **Text** and kick off a manual sync on the table to revert numbers to whatever format they had before converting it to **Phone**.
