# Automatically Link These Fields- Error Message

The “Automatically link these fields” option when creating a new linked record doesn’t work.

It always displays this error message and then won’t save the new field.

I don’t use it much, typically only for when I want to auto-link my users from an external source to the Noloco tables. But I’ve gotten around this error in the past by using a Workflow instead to link it.
