# Cannot sort lists by Single-Select fields

Not sure if this is a bug, but I feel like I used to be able to sort tables by single-select fields from the “Sort and Limit” options but cannot now.

If I’m mistaken, consider this a #Feature Requests

Hey @jesse - unfortunately not something we can easily support, but we’re always thinking about it.

As you might expect, the workaround is to add a formula field that you can sort by instead

Got it, thanks! I may have hallucinated being able to do that in the past.

Any movement on this? Is it because the API doesn’t return the order of the select values I’m guessing?
