# Comments modal for record-level buttons

**Comments modal for record-level buttons**

**What**

- I’d love the ability to add a record button to a collection that allows that record’s comments to display in a little pop-up modal.

**Why**

- More accessible UX. User does not have to click through the record and navigate to wherever the comments element lives (it could live far down on a long page, or in a different tab within that record’s detail page).
- Makes it easy to scan contextual data/comments across many records, allowing users to make decisions on where to navigate/what to do much more quickly

Yes!! Or maybe even just a comment count bubble option so they can easily see how many comments have been made on that record.

That’s a good starting point option for the feature too!

Would love if you could click through the icon to be taken & anchored to the comments elements.
