I would like to set a default value for date range filter field in charts, e.g by default have it set to the past 30 days
This is the same way you can set a default in the filter fields for an assigned record or even status, for example.

As the data in a chart grows, it can take a while to load up - having a default that we can set it to ( e.g., the last 30 days )makes it more relevant for the user and also hopefully improves the load-up speed.

@darragh do you know if there’s any way around this?
It’s becoming more relevant as some of our reporting databases are growing larger

You could add some Javascript that adds it to the URL maybe - that’s all I would be able to suggest at this moment - I’ll see if the Engineering team have a better suggestion

Good news @fluxomate and @garyGHL ! We now support default min and max values for date fields in filters and for number fields when using the _between_ operator!

This means you can do great things like “This month” or “Last 30 days” or “Last 3 months”

That is magnificent Darragh 👍, really will help us out and hopefully cut down load times on some heavy tables and charts.

Works really well.
Thank you

Glad to hear it! We have badly needed these ourselves in a few places!
