I’ve noticed over the last week or so that when editing a record from a modal form, if you delete a file it will appear to be gone in the modal but it’s not actually deleted. Thanks for sharing @onlymatt - I think this issue is limited to when you both delete a file and upload a new one, I think I can explain that. I’ll raise this with the Engineering team. In the meantime, if you do each step individually you will likely have a more predictable experience, but of course we’ll figure out why they’re not working together. ---

@darragh I’ve just come across this exact same issue, but I’m not trying to upload a new one, just allow the user to delete via modal. Each time I test it, it looks like it was OK, then the file comes straight back! Has anyone else reported this? Anything I should be aware of? Thanks 🙂 ---

I’m currently testing Noloco and I just came across the exact same problem. I delete the file in the modal edit screen, it looks good and when I click [Done] and go back to the details screen, the file is still there. When I look directly in the table, the file is also there. I had this same problem in 2 cases: - the profile picture in the Noloco user table - a Noloco file field added to an Airtable synced table (to limit the user upload to maximum 1 file, which cannot be done on Airtable attachment fields, but that’s another story) Is it a known, recurring or unsolved problem, as the initial post seems a bit old now? ---

Any update regarding this? We have the same issue. Deleting and adding new attachments aren’t working, the old ones aren’t being deleted. ---

Hi @onlymatt @Neervig Thank you for flagging it with us that this is still happening. We’ve successfully replicated the issue and have escalated it to our engineering team to figure out why this is happening. We’ll make sure to keep you posted. In the meantime, if you do the steps individually for now, deleting the files and confirming before adding replacement files, it should work, and the deleted files won’t be showing. ---
