Hi all, just wanted to show an awesome addition we have added to our Noloco app, embeddable dashboards using n8n webhooks and HTML:
I have long thought Noloco dashboards are too simple, so now we’ve added our own,

Workflow is easy, simply make a webhook (webhook is your embed URL), then use n8n to dynamically create the HTML and push back to Noloco, and hey presto! looks amazing, even has inbuild filtering and download as PDF

looks very nice. to improve the charting in our app we can explored two embed options:
1. via Zoho Analytics (with dynamic filtering/interactivity)
2. via Google Sheets (limited interactivity) but a good option for more advanced charts such as multi-axis with weighted averages etc.

Woah… this is such a simple idea but has pretty broad reaching ramifications. Theoretically you could extend the functionality of Noloco by building entirely custom content that relies on backend webhooks that interact with Noloco. Could definitely get a bit pricey, but essentially gives you a “work-around” for any features that we want to implement not native to the platform.

Hi @MWorth , its pretty cheap actually. I run it on a n8n self hosted server, with unlimited automations, so no more than $20 a month really.
If you have a n8n server, let me know I can send you the JSON code
Only issue I’ve found so far is getting the buttons to work within the app, might be a problem. but you can download as PDF, open in new tab without too much worry

How does it work with self-hosted n8n? I read so many negative posts about it that you have to be extremely technical and that it’s more of a hassle than just paying for the automatic updates. I myself can do it but clients who aren’t technical will fail
