Hey Noloco team!

Would love to see computed/formula fields that can output as single-select instead of just plain text. This would be super helpful for:

- Showing dynamic status indicators based on date calculations
- Creating visual compliance indicators that change color based on thresholds
- Displaying priorities calculated from multiple factors

Basically, I’d click a toggle in the formula field settings to “Show as badges,” define my possible outputs and their colors, and the formula results would show as nice badges instead of boring text.

Airtable recently did something similar - [https://community.airtable.com/announcements-6/introducing-single-select-output-for-formula-fields-1549](https://community.airtable.com/announcements-6/introducing-single-select-output-for-formula-fields-1549)

Thanks @cor for the suggestion, this is something we could explore in the near future.

We actually support these with our AI-powered columns using the ‘Classify’ option, which might be a good use for you at the moment.

I suspect you could get **very** specific with the prompt and get a similar result to the formula
