# I want advice on how to make my first Noloco application

Hey everyone,

I want create my first app and have begun researching Noloco but I am still learning the ropes. I have mastered some of the fundamentals but I am having trouble effectively integrating data and setting up automations.

I want to hear from others who have been using Noloco for a while. What resources helped you get started? Anyone have Any tips for handling more complex workflows or integrating with third party tools?? Also I have seen some tutorials but I want examples and personal experiences.

Also, I was wondering if anyone has used the [splunk](https://www.splunk.com/en_us/about-splunk.html) tool in conjunction with Noloco for data analytics or monitoring??

I’ve never used splunk but am now looking into it - I set up noloco with data sources from Airtable, MySQL, and then Noloco tables - what i found is Airtable isn’t dynamic enough to handle a lot of what I needed so SQL and Noloco tables seem to be the best for complex data.

if you’re not already committed to a specific spot to store your data Noloco Tables perform the best - but having your data mapped out prior to creating the tables makes a big difference when it comes to speed
