# Select Fields: Enable "Color Options" for editable Table fields

In the Details Element, I can choose “Color Options” for Select fields. That way they are still easily identifiable by the color but i can also edit them.

For Tables and all other Collection views, I do not have that option. If I enable “edit inline” for a Select field, it becomes simple text and the color of the different Select options is gone. this is unfortunate because it takes away the visual hierarchy.  
Could we have the Disply Option “Color Options” for those Collection Views too? Would be much nicer for Editable fields!

I think this could easily be the default too since I’d argue its the norm that you want your select fields to be coloured and the exception that you want them to be plain text.

Id probably keep it without the lines tho, seems cleaner

Came here to add this request today… there’s just so much added value in color than text in most cases:
