We use the comment functionality to discuss task work and this conversation could contain several topics. In this case, it would be beneficial to be able to reply to a specific comment. This would make answers more meaningful because you link them to the original question.
As an idea for the implementation:
- Extend the context menu with a ‘Reply to comment’ button.
- When the user clicks on the button, then the comment element (User name, timestamp and comment) gets copied into the ‘Add a comment’ field. To make it very obvious, that this was an old comment you reply to, it would be great if this element could be formatted differently (e.g. light yellow background colour).
