Timeline View Requests

We haven’t been able to use any type of calendar view in Noloco effectively for our use. We are a service based business, trying to schedule multiple crews in multiple markets. We currently just set up a timeline view on Airtable and put it into Noloco using an iframe, but that’s not great either because we can’t edit it in Noloco. I wish Noloco’s Timeline View had the following enhancements…

  1. Be able to remove all the blank space. If we have an event from 8am-5pm (typical business hours) 2/3rd of the cell is blank space. I wish it would either fill up the entire cell or we have the option to remove times from the view like on the Calendar View.

  1. Be able to add more fields and dynamically resize the record as it shows on the timeline. (not after clicking the record, but what it shows right on the timeline without clicking) That way we could select all the fields we want to show and depending on how many fields we select the height of each label sizes itself to show what it needs. These would be different than the fields that are shown whenever you click on a record. Example from Airtable:

  2. Be able to multilayer group by more than just one field. For us specifically we would be able to Clearly see each crews events, and each markets crews grouped together.

  3. Be able to summarize fields and have that shown on the Timeline with different color conditions. In the screenshot above in Airtable, we can very quickly see what our % of our production value goal is for each crew and visit.

If any of this is possible already and I’ve just missed it, please let me know! Thank you!

Thanks for this feedback Steven! Really appreciate it.

You mention an Airtable screenshot, but I don’t see one here, I think it would really help us understand your feedback a bit better.

We would love to add more functionality like this to our timelines, so this is very helpful

Whoops, I think it only allowed 1 upload, here it is

Thanks Steven!

Can I ask what the percentages are in this case and how they’re setup?

Recorded a loom video to show and explain, hope that helps!

Very helpful @steven-sfr - much clearer to me now! There’s some lovely additions and functionality there to be fair, that I would love to see in Noloco.
