It would be helpful to have chart legends on charts that don’t already have them. For example, pie charts already have the legend displayed with the chart, but bar charts do not. I know that the same data can be gained by hovering over the elements in the chart, but I think that if the chart is going to function as a “quick read” element on a page, requiring the user to also perform some action on the computer defeats that purpose. Additionally, if screenshots of the charts are required, then you lose all information about what the different colors on the chart stand for.
