Noloco pop up messages

Good morning, is it possible to hide the Noloco created event messages for general users? I had a few people over the weekend tell me they keep getting a popup when logging in about the upcoming event on how to create apps.

I can see why I (admin) would maybe want to see this but the general end users have no idea really, they don’t build apps.

Hey @garyGHL are these people admins of the Noloco apps?

Or are they using the same computer as someone who was previously logged in as an admin?

The scripts that provide the notices are only loaded when the Noloco Admin bar is loaded, so it should be impossible for non-admins to see those notices.

Hi @darragh , no I am the only admin on our app. I had 3 users message about the popup, all just standard users. I’ll keep an eye on it, they haven’t mentioned it today so far.

Were these people with “Manager” roles @garyGHL ?

Those roles have “Access all data” enabled which mean they see the Noloco sidebar, and are considered admins, in many respects.

They will see the popups.

Yes they were @darragh , looks like I may have mismanaged that one. Only just realised they have access to the backend tables too :flushed:

I don’t suppose there is a quick way to to restrict ‘manager’ to front end views only?

Removing that property from the role, and setting up appropriate permission rules is the only way
