Not Receiving Forgot Password Reset Email

I have users that have forgotten their password but when they click the forgotten password link on the login page, they never receive the email, not even in spam. Can anyone provide some insight?

This only really happens if:

  • The user hasn’t actually got an account on your Noloco app. Can you double-check they’re spelling the email exactly correctly and that they have an account by checking the Noloco user table?
  • The email is going to Spam (you’ve said you’ve checked this), but it’s usually the first reason

Well, now I feel silly. The email address was misspelled. Is there a way to flag that to say “This email address is not registered” to prevent that in the future?

That’s typically a bad pattern because it allows people to check which emails are registered
