Hi Noloco team and community,
I’d like to request support for scatter plot visualizations within Noloco. My current use case is to visualize a Double Materiality Assessment (DMA) / Matrix — a framework used widely in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and sustainability reporting.
In a DMA, each data point represents an issue or topic, and is plotted based on two axes:
- X-axis: Impact on the business (financial materiality)
- Y-axis: Impact of the business on society/environment (environmental & social materiality)
This results in a classic 2D matrix view, where each point’s placement helps prioritize action. Ideally, I’d like to:
- Plot records from a Noloco collection as individual points on a scatter plot
- Configure which fields drive the X and Y axes
- Optionally label points or allow click-through to detail views
- Possibly group or color-code by category
Why it matters: The DMA is a central part of sustainability strategy and reporting. Having it natively in Noloco would be a game-changer for internal ESG teams, consultants, and even broader use cases where bi-dimensional prioritization is useful (e.g., risk mapping, project evaluation, etc.).
Call to the community: Is anyone else working on similar visual prioritization models like the DMA or using Noloco for ESG/sustainability purposes? Would scatter plot support help your use case too?
Thanks,
Rutger
