Hi team! I don’t see this one on the board yet. In some instances, I would love to have the ability to indicate which tab the record details page opens to ‘On Click’ (can default to first tab if no selection made). This would be similar to how we can configure this in the ‘Navigate To’ Action button:
Great idea! Thanks for the suggestion @Brandi_Bullock
This is something I have repeatedly needed. The lack of ability to configure on click can result in some pretty clunky looking workarounds.
Yes, indeed!
And actually to your point, it would be great to be able to configure the on click completely like we do for action buttons. I love that on the action button you can choose the collection to navigate to and hardcode the UUID from the triggering record.
One immediate use case I have for a client project:
I am displaying a list of tasks, I had to create a formula URL displayed as a button to go to the related project. It would be much more efficient to be able to configure the on click to go to the linked project details page rather than the task details.
Hey @Brandi_Bullock - we’ve just added this as an option, I’d love to get your feedback
Thank you!! I’ve used it a couple times this week!
I have a few use cases where I would still like to choose the record that is opened, not always the collection record, but maybe a record that is linked in the record that is clicked on.
Best to do that with an action button for now, but we’re thinking about it!
