Workflow doesn’t support formula? 😱

Honestly, this is a bit frustrating. I’ve put together some complex workflows here to carry out cross-table calculations. But, I’m constantly running into issues where numerical values are either missing or incorrect. To troubleshoot this, I crafted a simplified workflow, only to discover that even basic numerical formulas aren’t supported by the workflow.

I noticed that the founder suggested in one thread that creating a formula field in the table could be a solution. Sure, this approach could mitigate some issues, but it doesn’t cover everything.

Noloco is an excellent product, but I strongly recommend considering the addition of formula support to the workflow. It would really take the functionality to the next level.

My workaround is to create three tables, “addition”, “multiplication” and “division”. Because the “Steps” can’t be moved up or down, basically I need to recreate whole workflows.

Strongly recommend the team to add this feature, especially when you already have built a formula engine for the table.

Hi @alancui :wave: Thanks for the suggestion, it would be very helpful to understand what sort of actions and calculations you’re hoping to do in your workflows so we can maybe support this in the future?

As I’ve suggested, typically we do recommend using a formula field for this type of calculation, but of course it can vary

It’s complicated, but it’s already a workaround since the workflow doesn’t support nested foreach.
