Allow dragging Elements into Container

I or someone else might have suggested this before but i cannot find it anymore.

We can rearrange all elements on the page by dragging them but we cannot drag anything into or out of a container.

It would be nice if that could be changed, it would make rearranging things much quicker smoother.

Honestly this feels more like a bug than anything, as the drag handles are even visible on elements within a container and yet you cannot drag them around.

For reference in case you aren’t aware, you can at least drag these around in the left menu at the bottom:

yea it really feels like an odd cut in the way you use the editor.
It’s also that you cannot use elements within the container right on the Canvas. Going back and forth between the Menu und Canvas for different Elements makes the workflow quite cumbersome.

In general, I think the Canvas Drag and drop approach is much quicker if it works well. See Airtable Interface Builder for example.

Thanks for the Reference btw, I was aware of those

My issue with the Sidebar is that its a bit unresponsive and slow.

Also @Noloco Team:
Ideally, the Page content could use its own Tab in the left Menu but could you at least make it so the container goes until the bottom of the menu? Its made even shorter artificially

ps: If I clone container, the clone always lands on the bottom of the page. with bigger pages its quite complicated to move them all back up where they belong

pps: Nested Containers would be amazing too btw
It would make such a huge difference for more complex layouts.

edit: Wait a sec, i though I put the container in the otherone because it was a bug. But it lets me do it again, I just cannot edit them. Are you guys actually launching nested containers right now?

Also, it would be nice if containers could be “opened” and “closed” in the navigation so I’d be easier to move them to the right position within the page
