Thank you, yes. My initial thoughts on this are rough. But I tend to experience this in almost every app we use out there.
Bug reporting and the consequent follow up tend to be anywhere but in the actual app. Oftentimes you need to go to separate apps/pages to communicate information over and over that could easily be pulled from the page and user profile you are experiencing this with.
I can only speak for myself but this becomes very tiring depending on the work load you have in front of you to begin with. The result is that I don’t report many bugs or glitches in the hopes that someone else will catch it as well and report it.
In my view user bug reports are essential to the growth of anything. This process should be as easy and streamlined as possible for both ends of the issue. I spend a bit of time searching through old chat messages to revisit old reports/conversations.
This feature should work across all apps for an admin, meaning I see my list of reports where ever I am. Otherwise I have to start remembering from which app I filed my report or where exactly I had which issuse.
I use Gleap for this, has options to screengrab the issue, plus you get loads of info about the user session etc. And it’s great for messaging too, and much cheaper than Intercom! https://www.gleap.io/
