Can't set default value on a form to a value from linked record

I don’t know if this is specific to having an Airtable data source, or a general issue, but if you set the default values on fields in a form to be from a linked record then it breaks the linked record field in 2 ways:

  1. If you are creating the new record from the general collection view, when you click on the linked record dropdown field there are no results

  2. If you are creating the new record from a collection on the related record’s page, then the linked record field is greyed out and just shows …

Removing the default values fixes the form, but really reduces the usefulness of the default values ability!

Based on the screenshot you’ve provided you’re not actually providing a linked field value as a default - I think that’s the problem here.

You’re providing a text field, but it should be the Noloco ID of the linked record

No problem, and yeah to clarify I’m trying to set the default values of some text fields with data from the linked record. Will PM you a link to the form (I’ve removed all default values for now so the form isn’t completely broken).

The issue is if I try to set a default value on for example the SoA Address field using data from the Sales proposal collection. For example setting the default value to Form values → sales proposal collection → Location (From Client) (From Opportunity) it breaks the Sales Proposal field
