Communication Logs between Noloco and SmartSuite

I asked this directly to Noloco and they suggested I ask the community. We are building out a client portal to give visibility to clients on projects we are working on. We track the projects internally via SmartSuite and then are using Noloco to give them ability to see and interact with projects accordingly.

We would like the ability to communicate with the client on specific projects, but Noloco and SmartSuite do not have an ability to respectively share the built in communication suite. We created a temporary solution where we basically append communications to a text field and that sort of works as a workaround.

I am checking with the community to see if there are any other workarounds that people have built into to their client/vendor portals to maintain a communication log between Noloco and SmartSuite?

Example: Project XYZ has some changes that the client wants to communicate. They type in their communication and we can see that in SmartSuite and when we type in a response, the client can see it when they view Project XYZ’s details.
