Right now, when you’re in build mode and try to configure a modal action button, you can’t actually see your modal/the work you’re doing, until you exit build mode and view the action button.
This is frustrating for complex action buttons, or especially forms built into a action button modal.
I’m sure we’d all love to see the action button modal display as a pop-up within build mode (and of course, the “Submit” button in the modal can be greyed out/locked from use if necessary from a development standpoint).
It would be extremely helpful to have a preview of the modal, just like with forms. Building action button modals is very time consuming as it involved constant leaving the build mode to preview the modal, via clicking the action button.
I would say that 20-30% of my time building action buttons goes into this constant back and forth build/design process. Especially with all the additional elements that I can pack into the modal, it would be much more productive to see what I am doing in real time.
