In mobile layouts record buttons are hidden behind the 3 dot ellipses. This possibly lowers user engagement as not all users will easily understand that the buttons exist. It would be helpful to have inline buttons or the ability to display the record buttons by default.

Agreed, this would be a nice good thing to have.
Also the way it works now, it often mangles the title. For some reason, the collapsed button seems to take a lot more space than necessary, adding extra line breaks to the title.
