Launch Week Day 3 - Form Components & Checklists

Hey everyone

Can you believe it’s already 3 of Launch Week! :rocket: As a reminder, each day this week we will be announcing some major new features available in Noloco. That have been highly requested in our Community.

Today we’re bringing you a big update to forms in Noloco and a new list layouts.

First up, you can now include components in your forms to make them more interactive and user friendly. These components let you provide extra context, guidance, or external content directly within your forms, alongside your table’s form fields.

  • Text or Titles: Add instructions or context to guide users.
  • Notices: Highlight important information or alerts.
  • Videos: Embed tutorials or explanations to support your users.
  • Iframes: Seamlessly integrate external content, like a calendar link

What can you do with Form Components?

  • Guided Steps: Display a video tutorial based on a selected field value to help users complete the form.
  • Error Notices: Show alerts when a required field is incomplete.
  • Dynamic Text: Update instructions based on user inputs to provide better clarity.

Checklist Layout

We’re introducing a Checklist Layout for your Noloco apps, making it easier than ever for users to manage tasks and stay organized. This new list layout lets you include a checkbox field in your lists which your users can quickly toggle to mark an item as completed.

Key Features:

  • Fast and Simple: Users can update the status of items with a single click.
  • Permission-Based: The checkbox respects user permissions, ensuring only authorized users can update fields.

Perfect For:

  • Onboarding Checklists: Help new team members track their progress.
  • Project Tasks: Manage task completion in real time.
  • Reminders: Let users mark items as done to stay on top of priorities.

Ready to update your app with the latest and greatest?

That’s all the updates for today! Keep an eye on your inbox for the next Launch Week update tomorrow
