New Collection/Record Page -> Start empty

Whenever I add a new collection View or create a new Record Page (though a collection), Noloco automatically displays certain fields and adds all sorts of things to the record Page.

I get the idea of wanting to display some data right away but tbh it is so random that I always end up deleting everything and then start from scratch.
Its especially irritating for record Pages of Tables with a lot of fields/References. Instead of starting with a fresh page you start with a cluttered mess that you have to manually clean first and then start over.

Would be nice if you’d always just start with a Blank Page/Collection View (except maybe title for tables etc) or if you could have an option in the settings to turn off the automatic adding of stuff.

Not the most dramatic thing in the world but would definitly improve the workflow.

Thanks for sharing @_4N

We’ve been thinking about different options for this experience, so this feedback is very helpful, thanks!

This resonated with me as I almost always clear out the page entirely before proceeding to build. I think most experienced builders would agree. But I do see the value for new customers or less experienced builders because it suggests to them the different ways that Noloco can be used and that data can be displayed.

Perhaps a better solution is to have an area in the settings where you can choose “Always create new blank pages” or “Create new page with suggested elements” or however you want to word that (you get the idea)

Totally agree. And, as mentioned before, I would also prefer that Noloco does not automatically add pages for all collections I add to the database. I always end up having to delete these pages.
