New Record: Add Switch "Open record after creating"

It exists for Action Buttons but not for the “New Record” Button on collection Pages.

A lot of times I don’t want to open a record after creating it.

Please add this very basic option that already exists elsewhere in Noloco :slight_smile:

edit: It also seems like you can only choose the default form when using “Overlay” as display type for the form.
If I choose “Page” i can choose any Form for this Collection tho. This seems quite inconsistent too

I’m not sure what your setup is but on my end, when i create a new record, it does open the record.

Hm maybe I explained it poorly. I’d like the option to not open the record after creating it.

If you use an action button, you always have toggle “open record after creating it”. Would be nice to have this option for “new record” buttons on collection pages too.

You do have the option to customise where the user goes after saving:

I know but those setting are set within the form, meaning each the form will send the user back to the same page, regardless of where the form was opened from.

So if I have a View of “Tasks” on multiple different Blank Pages, it will always send the user back to one specific page which doesn’t make any sense.
