I absolutely love Noloco workflows because they’re native to the platform so they’re much quicker on average than Zapier/Make, but I find that I’m quite limited by the inability to have a search step.

Feature Request: a new search step in workflows

  • Can pull a single record, or a list of records
  • Pulls records based on criteria the user provides (using static conditions from the table being searched, or using dynamic conditions from a record and its fields that were used in a previous step (much like Airtable’s search/find action)
  • If a single record is found, can use data from any field from that record
  • If multiple records are found, can use list of IDs or UUIDs

Putting some new activity down here in hopes that others see and resonate with this. Definitely has caused certain automations to have to be built in Airtable/SmartSuite rather than using workflows.

Hoping to get some traction here… most of my Noloco builds inevitably require backend automation (e.g. Airtable automations) or 3P tools like Make/Zapier to get the find/search step that we need.
