For users, it might be helpful to add a way to suppress or minimize the ‘New Version Available’ popup if frequent updates are a norm. This could improve user experience and prevent confusion, especially if updates are minor or frequent.
The popup is covering the action buttons top right and making it very hard to use the portal. This was tested with dummy accounts in incognito mode.
Maybe a this feature popup new version is available only if the developer “pushes a new version” as a manual act, instead of every publish. (I test and publish a lot as I am testing with the end user sometimes.)
Interesting idea @Kieran - certainly something we could explore.
The reason it’s there on every update is because sometimes even ‘minor’ updates can cause breaking changes and this just ensures they’re on the most major version.
They will only see one notification if there have been multiple updates available since they last updates.
As for testing, we generally recommend using the ‘View as user’ functionality so you don’t have to publish too frequently
