Loving the new record colors function in list, table, cards, and grid views! However, this feature would be even more beneficial for our company in calendar, map, and timeline views. It would provide us with more immediate information at a glance, this would be especially beneficial for tasks like resource planning and route optimization

I’ve not needed it until now but I have a client who wants the coloring of the records on a timeline view to be different than the grouping of the timeline view. That way it conveys 2 sets of data quickly so they could see example this is schedule on Machine A (doesn’t need a color) but it is a product type (needs a color) that’s on the Machine for today.

Wanting to bump this again 
I have a client who’s not using their timeline because of the color need. They’re using the list/grid view instead.
They’re fine currently - but just want to plug this in case others are seeing the same.
