New Record Button Opens Modal Rather Than Form

I think from a UX experience, it would be great to be able to configure the New Record Button to open a small modal rather than navigate to another page just for a less jarring customer experience.

Yes please! It solves the “which page to return to” problem also.

Now this feature has been added a while ago, however I feel like there are two major issues with it still:

  1. It is not available for Lists on Blank or Record Pages
  2. There is no option to not open the Record once its created

Would be nice if those could be adressed, right now it feels quite unfinished as a feature.

Especially the fact that you are forced to go into the record when for example adding an element to the Kalender is just very bad UX. I causes so many extra clicks and confusion, its quite frustrating.

Btw the option not to open the created record already exists for creating records thorugh action buttons.
