Bug Report: Noloco Not Updating Cleared Single Select Field from Airtable
Summary
When a single select dropdown field is cleared (set to empty) in Airtable, Noloco does not receive or reflect this change. Instead, Noloco retains the previous value, causing data to become out of sync.
Description
I have confirmed that this issue is still unresolved after repeated testing. I noticed and reported the issue to support on the 5th of November. The behaviour is consistent and reproducible:
-
A single select dropdown field in Airtable is initially set to a value.
-
The value is then cleared in Airtable (set to blank).
-
Noloco does not update the field to blank and continues to display the old value.
This creates a data integrity issue where Noloco is holding onto stale data that no longer exists in Airtable.
Expected Behaviour
When a single select field is cleared in Airtable, Noloco should update accordingly and show the field as empty.
Actual Behaviour
Noloco does not register the cleared value and continues to display the previous selection.
Impact
I use the downdown field values to display messaging within the portal. Areas of the portal have messaging displayed incorrectly or are in ‘stuck’ states because it thinks an action is taking place when it’s actually already completed.
Evidence
A screen recording has been provided to support that clearly demonstrates the issue, showing the field being cleared in Airtable and not updating in Noloco.
