Rich formatting in emails sent via workflows

Original Request

  • Right now, emails sent via a workflow will not respect currency formatting. See the screenshot below, and note the 34750 which appears as $3,4750 in the app and is formatted as a currency in the data tab.
  • Not sure if this applies to other formats such as 1,000 appearing as 1000 (etc).

–Updated Request–

  • I just realized that email messages don’t support any rich formatting (MD).
  • Would be nice to support that so we can send better looking emails that work with the underlying data (if its rich)

Here to say hoping workflow emails get a whole facelift at some point. Personally, I avoid using workflows for any email more than a quick simple message because spacing and formatting seems inconsistent for me and I would just love more flexibility with the design. HTML/MD capability (similar to Airtable) would be AWESOME!

Strongly agree here. That and not sure if you’ve experienced this, but even entering text anywhere else in the app (like in comments/notes posted by workflows), and other areas where you can type text in the app (like naming workflows, or adding descriptions and stuff), is quite glitchy. Like, as you’re typing text disappears or overwrites itself and is so hard to use.

Hey everyone  As promised, we’ve recently added the ability to toggle on Markdown functionality in your emails, gives you really flexible customization over your workflow emails

Following up on the original issue too, things like currency fields should be formatted correctly for a long time now. Sorry we never followed-up on this thread

Love it! Thanks team NOLOCO!
