Scroll to top behaviour of Split layout

100% +1 on this! Have reported this previously after users gave feedback, but was mixed in with a related request:

Split view - default to first record in list

I have split view as my opening page on the app, but when user first gets into the app, no record is selected so the right hand pane is blank. Be great if the first record was selected as default, otherwise if not possible, at least have some messaging such as “select a record to view” (or something along those lines!).
