I have split view as my opening page on the app, but when user first gets into the app, no record is selected so the right hand pane is blank. Be great if the first record was selected as default, otherwise if not possible, at least have some messaging such as “select a record to view” (or something along those lines!).

This continually comes up in feedback given by users, so adding a +1 to my own request.
Also users find the whole experience where a record jumps to the top quite jarring, especially as the top record is currently half covered by the group title!

Did consider this when I saw the email this morning and had a play around, an awesome update and will 100% be using it in my app, but for this one use case the split view is more appropriate. But thanks for the reply!
