Sort by date (Smartsuite date field) not working "Something went wrong"

When using Smartsuite as a database and using Date fields it is not possible to sort i.e. tasks by date. There are the different options selectable (start, due, overdue, complete) but none of those are working. When selecting one of those the error message “Something went wrong appears”.

The only ones which are working are “created” and “updated”.

The usecase is to show tasks and to be able to sort them by date.

In the screenshot you can see the error message and the Noloco menu where the date types can be selected.

Hey @JCW - if I were to guess, based on your other question (here) these dates are multi-value fields (something possible in SmartSuite) and it’s probably preventing us from Sorting on them, at least not without more work.

We definitely do support sorting and filtering by date fields in SmartSuite, but it may be nuance with your date field.

Hi Darragh, the date field was not a multi value fields but it had the type “due date” in Smartsuite. I tried to sort it with the value “due date oldest - newest” in Noloco but it did not work. I then converted it into a normal “date” type and now it works, I can sort the field as usual. Thanks, Jean-Christophe
