Make 2FA available for everyone

Please make 2FA available to all paid plans.

Data sensitivity and security is important to companies large and small. Unlike features, core security like 2FA (almost every app offer this these days) should not be a question of budget.

Please consider making this available to all plans. Thank you.

+1 to this, 2FA are important.

Bumping this one, in light of recent attacks in the UK its becoming a standard requirement in financial services to use MFA/2FA.

:folded_hands:

I would like to bring attention to this request once more.

Solid security is key, going forward.

Security should not be a feature, it should be the foundation.

Almost every app I have come across offers 2FA as part of its foundation - starting with “free” plans.

Please offer this security to everybody entrusting Noloco with their data.

Thank you.

100% agree here. I think it’s is ridiculous to gate keep basic security. In fact all security options should be available to all users. The lack of mandatory 2FA on a pro plan is so significant that I’ve began exploring other alternatives to noloco.

I am unfortunately contemplating the same for an app that needs to handle sensitive customer proprietary data and financial information. As much as I truly cherish Noloco and what it is doing for me, I am unable to neglect the security aspect. Ideally Passkey usage would be built into the package as well.

Yes to Passkey being built in :crossed_fingers:

We have had the decision taken out of our hands here in the UK, the financial regulator has made it a requirement to get Cyber Essentials certification by January 2026.

Any cloud systems holding client data are required to have MFA, looking forward to trying to manage this for 50 users :flushed:

Is there anyone on Enterprise here using 2fa in Noloco? Does it manage it all for you rather than having to ask users to download and store the recovery codes?

Thanks

Well, I’ve decided to cancel my account and move on due to Noloco holding basic security hostage behind higher tiers. Not having it on free accounts is already bad… and not having it on a Pro plan is absolutely ridiculous. It needs to be on every plan. I’ll take my $1800/yr elsewhere.

We are not quite there yet, but I can clearly relate to your sentiments.

Hmmm. I’m trying to find a way around this, I’ve enabled 2fa but ultimately its up to the end user whether they decide to keep it which is an issue.

We have just signed off for CyberEssentials Certification which states we are applying MFA to all cloud accounts. Could be tricky :flushed:

We would make it mandatory on our end, provided Noloco would offer such a feature.

So would we, like O365 they don’t have a choice

Could you explain what you mean by that?

Could you explain what you mean by that?

If I had the chance on Noloco I would force them to use 2fa/mfa.

With O365, we give the users no option, its rolled out at admin level. We use Microsoft Authenticator app on their phones, they then get prompted whenever they login from a ndew device or IP.

We have the same issue in Denmark. Our company have several certifications, which soon makes it obligated for us to have MFA enabled.

Yes, its becoming more widespread now, especially in financial services. I’m told it will be compulsory here in the UK within the next 12 months on anyone connecting to financial systems.

I’ve been rolling out 2fa for 3 weeks on my Noloco app, still have 4 resistant users, yet to follow the requirements

There is a new column in the users table now, that tells me who is using it which does make things a little better.

This mean you upgraded your plan.

Don’t think so, I’ve been on the same business plan since March 24.

I just enabled 2fa in settings & sent the instructions out to users.

Got it. So you don’t have the core problem the non-business-plan users have.
